The fourth floor addition at Nevada Museum of Art created the region’s premier venue for programs, social and business gatherings, and special events. The expansion included a 4,800 square-foot Nightingale Sky Room with a banquet kitchen and floor-to-ceiling glass walls that allow for the creation of an open-air environment.

The Sky Room seats 250 for formal dinners, and up to 397 for concerts, parties, lectures, conferences, workshops and special events. It has state-of-the-art acoustics. The Stacie Mathewson Sky Plaza adds 5,000 square feet of patio space, accentuated by glass parapets on the building that block the wind while enabling a view of the Sierras.

South and west walls of the Sky Room feature fritted glass to diminish heat gain. Interior perforated metal ceilings extend into exterior soffits with channel lighting. n
