The fourth-floor addition at the Nevada Museum of Art created the region’s premier venue for programs, social and business gatherings, and special events. The expansion included a 4,800 square-foot Nightingale Sky Room with a banquet kitchen and floor-to-ceiling glass walls that allow for the creation of an open-air environment.

The Sky Room seats 250 for formal dinners, and up to 397 for concerts, parties, lectures, conferences, workshops, and special events. It has state-of-the-art acoustics. The Stacie Mathewson Sky Plaza adds 5,000 square feet of patio space, accentuated by glass parapets on the building that block the wind while enabling a view of the Sierras.

The south and west walls of the Sky Room feature fritted glass to diminish heat gain. Interior perforated metal ceilings extend into exterior soffits with channel lighting.
