Chico Junior High School (Chico JHS) was in desperate need of new laboratory classrooms to accommodate their growing science curriculum. With the help of Clark/SullivanConstruction as their general contractor, Chico UnifiedSchool District was able to help expand Chico JHS’s science program by adding a new 5,500 sf science building to their campus as well as modernizations of their existing laboratory classrooms.n n

In addition to the science upgrades, the 5,000 sf modernization portion of the project also included remodeling of the campus’s restrooms, library and front entry, as well as exterior and interior paint and replacement of all fire alarms campus-wide.n n

The work was completed on an active campus and was delivered under budget.n

“Implementing major construction can be very difficult on a junior high school campus with 850 students and staff on the site. The Clark/Sullivan team connected with the site staff, worked diligently to understand their needs, provided continuous updates, and always made them feel important and listened to.” – Julie Kistle Director, Facilities & Construction, Chico Unified School District n
