The Douglas Campus helps Wyoming meet its demand for skilled technology workers with a 29,000 sf building featuring a Workforce Department and a large shop for teaching welding. It has classrooms, conference rooms, common areas and offices.

As the lowest bidder, Clark/Sullivan was $350,000 over budget but worked with Eastern Wyoming College to meet its budget while maintaining schedule. The team found significant cost-saving opportunities in the site work package and alternate finishes, including flooring and lighting. The team maintained all square footage, programming and exterior aesthetics.

The Clark/Sullivan team broke ground in Wyoming’s severe winter of 2014 to ensure steel erection in sprint to maintain schedule. Using radiant heat technology, the team thawed areas adjacent to footings, enabling below zero pours.

“Clark/Sullivan’s representatives have performed in a very professional manner and worked extremely well with all parties including the architects, their consultants, Eastern Wyoming College; the owner’s at the end of the project and the Converse County Commissioners; the owner during construction. We are extremely pleased with Clark/Sullivan’s responsiveness throughout the entire project and their ability to successfully manage their subcontractors.” – Clyde Woods, Director for Procurement and Contracts n
