Clark/Sullivan Construction built the 300,000 square-foot MSC Tools project to rigorous standards. The “super” flat floor was poured and finished to perfection in spite of extremely windy conditions, which made high tolerance concrete work very difficult. The use of the latest technology in laser screening was necessary to meet this requirement.

Clark/Sullivan then built and erected all of the specially designed tilt-up exterior walls. A sandwich was created by use of a middle layer of insulation material inserted between exterior and architectural concrete and interior structural concrete, giving the panels an overall thickness of 10 inches.

“We greatly appreciate your efforts towards the successful completion of our design-build project in Fernley, Nevada. Through your attention to detail, our critical schedule was maintained without any compromise to quality, assuring us of getting our facility on line as scheduled. We are also very pleased that the project was completed well within budget. All this, along with the fact that the job site was always clean and safe were the main reasons the project was a success. WE look forward to working with you on future projects.” – T.R. Eccleston, Corporate Vice President and Secretary, MSC Industrial Direct Co., Inc. n
