This large project for the University of Nevada, Reno expanded the existing Medical School by adding both Laboratory and Medical Office Buildings. The successful completion was accomplished by aggressively managing the schedule and employing over 250 tradesmen during peak construction. The project features its own mechanical central plant, which supports the most advanced mechanical and electrical systems of any building on campus. Fifteen separate piping systems made this building one of the most complicated buildings ever constructed in the State of Nevada.

“The State Public Works Board and the University of Nevada, Reno, have enjoyed partnering with Clark/Sullivan in executing this complicated design in an effective and workmanlike manner. The quality of the construction work is evident in the finished building.” – Craig DeFriez, State of Nevada Public Works Board

Clark/Sullivan overcame the challenges through teamwork and completed this project on schedule. There was a real “can-do” attitude from all players involved in this project. The Design Team, along with the State Public Works, UNR Project Management and all the Subcontractors worked together to create a collaborative and synergistic project that was fun to construct. The team worked together to solve problems as they occurred. This problem solving was done in a proactive and positive way which made this project a joy to be on. n
