Superintendent Steve Jessop’s crew is hard at work constructing the new Lisa Maloff University Center at Lake Tahoe Community College. The new building will become the home for current and future bachelor degree programs on the community college campus and will feature classrooms and various faculty and advising offices.
Steve gave us a behind-the-scenes tour of the 7,000 square-foot building as construction is currently underway.
Exterior
The building's exterior features a grey siding, which fits-in with the campus' current aesthetics.
Faculty / Advising Offices
The building features several offices for faculty and advising services to help serve students who are looking to pursue a bachelors degrees.
Main Lobby
The spacious main lobby will feature a large fireplace, which will serve as a statement piece for all visitors.
Restrooms
The building's restrooms feature eco-friendly fixtures such as waterless urinals.
Classrooms
The building's classrooms/lecture halls have optional partitions to allow for large or small classes and/or meetings.
