Antelope High School Performing Arts Center
The Clark/Sullivan Construction team worked with Roseville Joint Union High School District to add a new performing arts center to its Antelope High School Campus in Roseville, CA.
The 17,937 square-foot center has a multi-functional theater with full support spaces. It is designed to be used by the school, the community and area churches. The theater seating is retractable and removable. which enables the theater to be converted to a flat-floor dance, meeting, dining and party space.
It’s a one-of-a-kind flexible theatre. It has several modes: the full 570 seats; just the parterre seating with 280 seats on the telescoping seating; and no seating – the orchestra seating is removed, and the floor panels are raised to stage level. A fourth position has just the orchestra seating, and the telescoping seating is retracted. The theater has a giant LED screen upstage with large flanking screens above in lieu of a rigging system with sets.
The building was constructed while the campus remained fully operational.
