Clark/Sullivan recently completed the new Procter Hug High School campus project for Washoe County School District (WCSD).

The project scope consisted of converting 84 acres of the former Wildcreek Golf Course property into a 298,000 square-foot, 21st-century STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) high school campus.

The new campus, which will accommodate a 2,500-student population, includes:

- 42+ Hi-Tech Classrooms

- State-of-the-Art Science Labs

- Full-Service Culinary Instruction Kitchen

- Performing Arts Center (435-Seat Capacity)

- Art & Music Labs

- Two Gymnasiums

- Group Rooms

- Comprehensive Sports Fields

- Emphasis on Sustainability

Although the client did not wish to pursue LEED certification, the campus features many sustainability measures in its design, including a geothermal exchange heating/cooling system, as well as high-efficiency lighting, and more.

This new high school campus will be considered a model for future high schools as it is a prototype design. WCSD said it hopes to replicate the design for future schools.
